COMBINED METHOD OF FORCE ANALYSIS OF THE CHAIN UNIT DRIVE MECHANISM

The object of study in the article is the drive mechanism of one of the promising multifunctional units, called chain (by the name of their working bodies — chain canvases). In the search of an alternative, the authors moved away
from the classical method based on the dʼAlembert principle, or the general equation of dynamics, and used a combined method — some of the unknown force factors are found using the dʼAlembert—Lagrange principle, the other — by the classical (or typical) kinetostatics method. As a result, equations with one unknown were obtained to determine the necessary force factors. The combined method was used to find all the mechanical characteristics of the four-link
mechanism necessary in the force analysis: the balancing moment on the crank and the interaction forces in the internal and external kinematic pairs. This method can be effectively applied in the mechanics of materials, in particular, for the calculation of beams, trusses and frames.
