Abstract

This article is devoted to the consideration of one of the interactive methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language — role-playing games. It formulates an idea of interactive methods, defines a role-playing game, and examines the main competencies that are formed through this type of educational games. The article actualizes the linguistic and cultural aspect of role-playing games, which includes knowledge of the national and cultural specifics of the country of the studied language, its customs, traditions, etc. As an example, a description of several role-playing games taking place in different communication situations is given, they are provided with language material and methodological comments. The presented role-playing games relate to the basic level of language proficiency. The article substantiates the importance of this type of interactive methods: the participation of role-playing games in the formation of communicative and linguistic-cultural competencies ensures full, harmonious communication in the language being studied.
