Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the concept of “beauty” in the context of the influence of the process of its perception and sensory cognition on the development of the preschool children intellectual and creative abilities. The neuropsychological foundations of human perception of beauty are considered. In the development of the intellectual and creative abilities of a preschool child in the process of perceiving beauty, activators have been identified that are expressed in the formation of new connections with the outside world, the intensive formation of a cognitive need for vivid impressions, the emergence of an impression that provides emotional activation of children and the eventfulness of their experiences. The influence of the process of beauty perception of the surrounding world and art on the development of the intellectual and creative abilities of the child in preschool childhood is substantiated and its aftereffects in the further life of the child are described, due to the activity of the mechanism of imitation, aesthetic emotions, experiences and feelings.
