IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF RECREATIONAND COGNITIO UNITY IN TRAINING TEACHERS FOR LEISURE ACTIVITIESWITH PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

The article is devoted to the problem of training teachers for organizing leisure activities with preschool children
based on the implementation of the principle of the recreation and cognition unity. The basic concepts of “leisure”, “leisure
culture”, “recreation”, “rest”, “cognition”, presented in philosophical, cultural, psychological and pedagogical
studies, are considered. The content of the principle of the recreation and cognition unity is revealed as a starting position
that contributes to the realization of the educational potential of leisure activities. The components of the teaching
staff training for the organization of holidays, entertainment, sports activities with children of preschool age, including
the theoretical-humanistic, organizational-methodical and integrative-culturological components, are presented. The
possibilities of applying the principle of the recreation and cognition unity in increasing the readiness of teachers to
organize leisure activities in preschool education institutions are substantiated, taking into account the realities of the
present and trends in the development of professional pedagogical education.
