INTERRELATION OF THE EXTROVERTED GIRLS’ “I-VIRTUAL” IMAGEAND THEIR INCLINATION TO INTERNET ADDICTION

Abstract

The article presents the results of the empirical research of the interrelation of the extraverted personality traits
of the girls who have different levels of Internet addiction and the qualities that make their “I-virtual” image. The
qualities that make “I-virtual” images of the girls who are on the first stage of Internet addiction, the phases of
keenness on the Internet technologies and the constructive use of virtual resources have been analyzed on the
parameter of congruence / incongruence with the extroverted personality traits. In accordance with the peculiarities of
extravert girls’ virtual communication we described the criteria to identify them in social networks and the qualities
inherent in real life. It was found that the girls who are on the first stage of Internet addiction have the highest degree
of incongruence of the qualities of “I-virtual” image.
