The article is devoted to the artistic nature matter of the early works of the Belarusian poet, novelist and publicist Z. Byadulya — his literary-critical articles “Not only on bread…”, “The forge of the Belarusian art. Thoughts on the Studio of the Belarusian State Academic Theater in Moscow”. The article also provides the analysis of the poet’s 1909—1914 poems from the standpoint of polysystematic approach. The author states that Z. Byadulya’s articles have a great philosophical and aesthetic potential, contain the development of cultural and literary issues, which determined
the development of Belarusian literature and preceded the emergence of many modern approaches in the humanities. It is noted that in his multifaceted early lyrics the poet embodied both, features of realistic aesthetics and poetics, as well as the features of modernist trends: positivism, naturalism, expressionism, impressionism.
