Abstract

The purpose of this article is, using Vincent Korotynskyʼs poem “Postrzyżyny” from the debut collection “Czem chata bogata, tem rada”, to consider some of the features of the formation of the motive-figurative field in the poetry of
the author, including the genesis of the solar motive which plays an important role in the artistic system of the poetʼs work. In the introduction, attention is paid to the relevance and scientific novelty of the study of V. Korotynsky’s phenomenon, taking into account the literary interpretation of his poetic works. In the main part, the ideological and aesthetic foundations of the writerʼs artistic method are analyzed and the principles of the creative consciousness evolution of this outstanding representative of the Belarusian-Polish literary borderland are shown. In the conclusion,
the findings are formulated about the formation regularity of the motive-figurative field of V. Korotynskyʼs poetry in the system of European romanticism aesthetics, with a focus on the Belarusian folk tradition.
