Abstract

The article describes the essence and features of victimization as a psychological phenomenon, interpersonal victimization and virtual victimization as a new phenomenon of the modern information society. The classification
characteristic of victimization based on the analysis of modern psychological research is presented. The article describes the results of an empirical study of the propensity to virtual and interpersonal victimization in early adolescence. The correlations between the tendency to victimization in virtual and real communication in the following situations of victimization are shown: situations of infantilization, humiliation, coercion, isolation, ignorance, rejection. It was found that early adolescent students who position themselves as a victim in interpersonal relationships with peers tend to reproduce victim-type behavior in social networks on the Internet under the influence of various victimizing influences. Possible vectors of practical application of the research results are reflected.
