Abstract

The article describes the vectors of research by various scientists of the development of personality selfawareness in preschool age. The results of the study of cognitive and personal development of older preschoolers are
presented. It has been proven that the formation of social identity directly depends on ideas about oneself (personality traits, qualities and capabilities). Data on their capabilities are accumulated gradually due to the experience of various activities, and this is directly related to the level of the childʼs cognitive sphere. The social identity of a preschooler is modeled in connection with the childʼs ideas about the attitude of other people towards him, social status and the cognitive sphere of the personality. The connection between the levels of self-esteem, motivation to study at school,
general awareness and the development of cognitive processes was analyzed.
