EXPERIENCE OF ATTRACTING APPLICANTS TO THE SPECIALTIES "EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL CULTURE" AND "ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT OF PHYSICAL CULTURE, SPORTS AND TOURISM"

Abstract

The article actualizes the problem of conscious choice of specialties for obtaining higher education by applicants. The results of the survey of first-year students of the specialties "Education in the field of physical education" and "Organization and management of physical culture, sports and tourism" to identify the factors of choosing a specialty are presented. The role of teachers, physical education and health teachers in organizing career guidance activities is determined. The key conditions for the effectiveness of specialized sports and pedagogical classes are identified. In order to ensure an informed choice by students of future professional activities and further education, a technology of work on career guidance for students of sports and pedagogical classes by means of the subject "Physical Education and Health" is presented. The experience of career guidance activities of the educational institution "Baranovichi State University" is described in the aspect of events held for applicants of sports and pedagogical specialties. Prospects for improving the career guidance work of the Department of Psychology and Physical Education are determined.
