CHARACTERISTICS OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND EMOTIONAL SELF-REGULATION OF TEENAGE BOYS PLAYING VARIOUS ROLES IN BULLYING

The article actualizes the problem of the persistence of bullying processes in the teenage environment due to the low level of development of emotional intelligence and the orientation of teenagers to ineffective strategies of emotion regulation. The psychological mechanisms of the influence of the skills of understanding and managing teenagers' emotions on their occupation of one of the positions in bullying (persecutor, assistant to the persecutor, victim, defender of the victim, observer) are described. The empirically established structural and substantive characteristics of intrapersonal and interpersonal emotional intelligence, cognitive strategies of emotion regulation of teenage boys depending on their usual role in bullying are presented. The invariant and variable characteristics of emotional self-regulation and emotional intelligence of adolescent boys who are victims of different types of bullying (victims of social exclusion, rejection by status figures, rejection in dyadic relationships, etc.), as well as adolescent boys who resort to different types of peer victimization (direct, indirect, physical, psychological bullying, etc.) are reflected in the study
