Abstract

Samples made of 20X13 steel have been heat-treated using methods of furnace and rapid heating from 800...1 100°C, as well as
quenching and tempering. Their structure, phase composition and mechanical properties have been studied. Results of the study can be
applied in developing the modes of three-dimensional or surface hardening of shafts, rods or fastening parts.
