Increasing the operating period of grinding tool in the processing of wood

Abstract

There is a continuation of the new direction process of improving wood grinding, its essence is in in wood cutting products removal
from the working surface of the sanding belt during the performance which defines the operability of the grinding tool in the article. The
service life increase of the sandpaper will allow to save a lot of money and thereby to reduce production costs. According to the obtained
results of the research, the cutting ability loss criterion is found out which is characterized not as the wear degree of abrasive grains, but
as the filling content of space between them. For the greater efficiency of the grinding belt, increase of the period of its durability,
improvement of the cutting ability of the teeth (grains) it is recommended to employ the device to remove the residue of cut.
