Abstract

Efficiency of use of high-duty cast iron in constructions of forage harvester cutting drum knives is considered. Installation
schemes for hardening and durability studies are suggested. The results of experimental studies of the influence of electrofriction
hardening of forage harvester cutting drum knives on their durability are considered. It is found that durability of knives increases
1.2...1.5 times.
