Abstract

The structural and operational characteristics of cotton-cleaning machine disks are presented. To harden the
disks teeth with preservation of their geometric and linear dimensions, a new method of magnetic-pulse processing
was used.
The methodology to do a research on experimental samples of disks was developed. The chemical composition
of the discs material was determined, metallographic and durometric studies of the samples before and after the
magnetic-pulse treatment in various regimes were carried out. A rational regime of hardening of the teeth of cottoncleaning
machine discs was determined by the method of magnetic-pulse processing.
