INCREASING THE DURABILITY OF MACHINERY DRIVES BASEDON THE APPLICATION OF PROFILE TORQUE-TRANSMITTING JOINTS

The technological and operational advantages of profile torque-transmitting joints, the experience of their application
in mechanical engineering are considered. The scientific, technical and organizational tasks associated with
the production and use of such joints in the conditions of single and small-scale production of drives and ways to solve
them are determined. Progressive schemes of forming profile surfaces with simplified kinematics, recommended for
implementation on versatile machine tools, are characterized. The example of the modernization of the gearbox with
the replacement of splines and clutch couplings with profile joints, which ensures its high durability, is given.
