DOMESTIC TOURISM OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS WITH STANDING OUT THE FEATURES OF G. BARANOVICHI

Abstract

Tourism is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the economy. This type of economic activity
contributes to income in related sectors of the economy. Among the various types of tourism for the Republic of
Belarus, domestic tourism plays the greatest role, this is due to the fact that domestic tourism has a positive impact
on the balance of payments and financial stability of the country as a whole, affects the growth of investment,
tourist income, reduces unemployment, and also contributes to the expansion of infrastructure. In the cities of the
Republic of Belarus, in Baranovichi, domestic tourism is poorly developed, this is due to poorly developed
infrastructure, lack of price and quality, the lack of advertising, narrow range of services. The article considers the
theoretical foundations of domestic tourism, as well as the tourist potential taking into account the characteristics
of the city of Baranovichi, analyzes the shortcomings and opportunities for the development of domestic tourism
in the city, identifies areas that contribute to the most effective development of domestic tourism in the region.
