ECOLOGICAL TOURISM AS A PROMISING DIRECTION OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

Abstract

In the modern world, the tourism industry is one of the most profitable and rapidly developing. With good
development, it is capable of bringing considerable money to the country's budget, as well as having a significant
impact on various sectors of the economy. One of the promising directions of tourism development in Belarus is
ecotourism. This direction is quite young and still completely unknown. The Republic of Belarus has excellent
natural resource potential for the development of this area. Therefore, ecotourism in Belarus is a promising area.
The article discusses the theoretical foundations of ecotourism, as well as the natural resource potential of the
Republic of Belarus, analyzes the shortcomings and opportunities for the development of ecotourism in the
country, suggests measures to attract ecotourists and the most effective development of ecotourism in the country.
