Abstract

 The article deals with the structure and the plot of V. Pelevin's novels. The organization of the ideological and artistic structure of the writer's works is considered. A general description of the universalized characters in his works is given, the symbolism of certain images is indicated. The characteristic plot features of the writer's works are determined. An attempt was made to study the themes and problems of V. Pelevin's novels. Various aspects of his work, which determine his belonging to postmodernism, are considered. Attention is drawn to the religious and philosophical orientation of the novels, playfulness and irony as their components. The connection between the language of slogans and the plot of the works is analyzed. It is indicated on the market factors of success of the writer's works. The ratio of material and spiritual as factors of the surrounding reality is considered. The popularity of V. Pelevin's novels among modern readers is comprehended.
