Abstract

The article reveals psychological guilt. The vectors of modern research on the phenomenon of guilt in psychology are presented. Based on the generalization of the research of scientists, approaches to understanding the essence of guilt and the function of guilt are listed. The results of an empirical study of the propensity to experience adaptive and non-adaptive types of guilt in adolescence, including gender differences, are described.
