The article is devoted to the problem of empirical study of the psychological boundaries of the “I” personality which is relevant
for practical psychology. A brief review of the main areas of the Joint Rorschach Test procedure application in research and
clinical practice is presented. The potential of this psychodiagnostic tool in the study of structural and dynamic changes in the personalities
of spouses that arise in the process of their actual interpersonal interaction is considered. The possibilities of this tool in
detecting and determining the degree of psychological differentiation of the boundaries of the “I” of the spouses are demonstrated on
the example of the analysis of marital interaction, taking into account interpersonal and intrapsychic dynamics. A clinical illustration
of an empirical study of the dynamics of the differentiation of the boundaries of the “I” of the spouses is presented, that also reflects
data on the quality of the adaptive potential of the interpersonal interaction of the spouses.
