Abstract

The article deals with the features of socialization of modern teenagers in China, associated with the changes
taking place in the society, which leave a certain imprint on its implementation. Representing a complex phenomenon,
the socialization of modern adolescents is influenced by the media environment, which, from the point of view of
modern researchers, is defined as “cyber socialization”. From the standpoint of social constructionism significant
changes in adolescents associated with socialization processes of social adaptation, social activity and social autonomy,
some factors of the positive and negative impact of the Internet on their assimilation of cultural norms and values of
society are identified. Such a detailed description allows us to see how social attitudes change in adolescents and social
norms are transformed, serious problems appear that negatively affect their formation and development. Highlighting
the influence of the Internet on the socialization of adolescents allows us to outline the ways to improve their processes
of social adaptation, social autonomy and social activity.
