Abstract

The article presents the results of our research in the culture of fatherhood in modern Belarusian society. Based
on the results obtained, the researcher points out the trends in the development of the modern Belarusian culture of fatherhood,
characterized by a number of problems. Firstly, economic motives are dominant at the birth of children. Secondly, the joint time spent by children and fathers in most cases is limited to watching TV and playing computer games. Thirdly, constitutional practices for involving fathers in the active upbringing of children are sufficiently developed in the Republic of Belarus, but fathers themselves are reluctant to take part in them. The analysis of the highlighted problems in the development of fatherhood culture in modern Belarusian society allowed the author to identify a number of contradictions that are described in the article.
