Abstract

In the context of humanization of vocational education, the interconnection of psychological culture and selfactualization
of a personality is one of the insufficiently studied key problems. The development of future specialists’
psychological culture and their characteristics of self-actualization is a promising direction of improving of students’ psychological and pedagogical training. This direction requires elaboration of its scientific background and
implementation of the health-preserving approach in the vocational training. This approach presupposes the inclusion
of the data concerning students’ psychological culture and their self-actualization in the evaluation of the quality of psychological support of the vocational training. The study of this problem allows us determine the structure and
content of psychological culture and the directions of students’ activities. Their development promotes selfactualization
of the individual and reducing of the state’s costs for preventive work. The results of the study devoted to the interconnection of students’ psychological culture and self-actualization can be used for the expansion of the ideas
about the object of research, the development of syllabi and health-saving pedagogical technology.
