Abstract

The readiness of future teacher for educational activity (due to the duality of teacher vocational training: the
upbringing of the personality of the future teacher and the formation of the educational competence) is viewed from
the position of needs and competence approaches. Educational competences and human-personal orientations
constitute the essence of the readiness under study; they determine the quality of educator who is characterized by
“focusing on the human”. The upbringing of the “inner person”, who is capable for “elevating him-/herself to the level
of human-constructive activity” (I. A. Kolesnikova), actualizes creative needs in the structure of this readiness. They
include professional self-assertion, creative self-expression, active world exploration, a holistic sense of one’s own
dignity, knowledge and development of a growing person and his / her own personality.
