Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of theoretical foundations and empirical studies of the phenomenon of victim behaviour. The advantages of the subject-environmental approach to the description of victim behavior are determined. According to this approach, the author’s definition of victim behaviour is presented. Also, its psychological essence and features are disclosed, and the psychological mechanism of its formation is described. The qualities of personal boundaries of a person with victim behaviour are systematized, which makes it possible for him to delegate the function of his psychological space management to other individuals.
