Abstract

The article actualizes the problem of self-relation of the individual. Definitions of self-relation are given together with scientistsʼ approaches to understanding the structure of this phenomenon. The importance of studying the relationship between self-attitude and motivation to achieve success in youth is justified. The results of the study of structural and content characteristics of studentsʼ self-attitude and their motivation for achievement are described. The results of an empirical study of the characteristics of the ratio of students with high and low levels of motivation to achieve success are presented. It is determined that a positive self-attitude forms a positive “Self-concept”, implements a determining influence on all spheres of the psyche, on the quality of studentsʼ educational activity, which is usually based on the
motive for achieving success, expressed in the desire for self-affirmation and creation as a process of transforming oneself as a person and a productive subject of activity.
