Abstract

The article discusses the features of emotional interaction in the dyad “mother — early age child.” The author reveals high emotional richness of the child-mother interaction at an early age, empathy and acceptance of the child by the mother. Mothers of young children are characterized by an insufficient level of sensitivity to the child and orientation to his condition when building interaction. Mothers of children with neurological pathology tend to have
body contact with the child and show explicit positive emotional states. Differences were found in the emotional interaction of the mother with the child depending on his/her age: the mother’s orientation to the child’s state improves
as he/she grows older.
