Abstract

The article deals with the problem of improving the musical performance training of future music teachers in higher education institutions. The content of the training of future music teachers, the combination of performing and pedagogical components, the focus on improving performance skills and strengthening the methodological competence of the teacher-musician are analyzed. It is presented the examples of embedding the methodological component in the context of musical and performing music training of students. It is traced the process of interpreting musical works from the decoding of the text to the creation of an artistic image in a creative performing act. The role of vocal and choral training in the process of professional training of specialists in higher education as the priority aspects ensuring the
practice-oriented educational process has been revealed. It is viewed the issues of repertoire politics in the vocal class, aimed at mastering the stylistic diversity of vocal music and focusing on the study of the school-song repertoire, and
observance of the principle of fascination in vocal work with children.
