Abstract

Evolutionary processes taking place all over the world daily confront humanity with uncertainty. In these conditions, the individual must learn to accept uncertainty as an integral part of daily life and try to transform it constructively. Therefore, it is important to develop a tolerance for uncertainty as a strategically significant skill for successful life. The article describes approaches to the diagnosis of tolerance to uncertainty in psychology. It also describes empirically
established influence of decision-making style, structural and content characteristics of resilience (involvement, control, risk taking), socio-psychological attitudes of a person in the motivational-need-sphere, career orientations
on the level of tolerance to uncertainty / intolerance / interpersonal intolerance to the uncertainty of students. The importance
of introducing the author’s course into educational programs of pedagogical specialties in higher education for the development of students’ tolerance to uncertainty is emphasized.
