Abstract

The article describes the method of the associative experiment “10 words” developed by the author to study the ideas about the personality of two groups of intellectuals. The methodological basis of the experimental study is the theory of social representations by S. Moscovici. The structural and content characteristics of the core of the associative
field of ideas about the personality of cultural subjects and subjects of educational relations are revealed. On its basis a socio-psychological portrait of the individual was created. A person is a person/children who are characterized by
individuality, self-awareness, intelligence, thinking, creativity, character, will, purposefulness, the highest moral, aesthetic, intellectual feelings, education, and professionalism. A comparison of the ideas about the personality of the two groups of intellectuals showed their quantitative and qualitative identity. This indicates the cohesion and valueoriented unity of cultural subjects and subjects of educational relations working in the “person—person” system.
