HEURISTIC APPROACH AS A TOOL FOR FORMING CRITICAL THINKING AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ON INFORMATION CLOCKS

Abstract

The article presents the results of an empirical study revealing the features of holding information hours using a heuristic approach among university students. The relevance of the topic is due to the growing requirements of modern society for the student's ability to analyze, evaluate, synthesize and make informed decisions in conditions of information overload. The methodological basis of the study was systemic, activity and competence approaches based on the principles of pedagogical heuristics and the theory of critical thinking. The purpose of the study was to assess the effectiveness of the introduction of the heuristic approach as a pedagogical tool for the formation of critical thinking among students of a higher educational institution on information hours. Key factors for the success of the heuristic approach were identified: the presence of a trusting atmosphere, a clear structure of tasks and the role of the teacher as a facilitator. The study confirms the promise of a heuristic approach in modern higher education.
