ETHNOCULTURAL CRITERIA IN THE STRUCTURE OF PERSONAL INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF ART LESSONS)

Abstract

The article reveals the problem of forming an individual's intercultural competence through the prism of civic and patriotic education. The polycultural and multi-religious nature of the state is interpreted as a factor that determines the expediency of forming intercultural competence as a result of possessing a system of ideas about the culture of the Republic of Belarus and the countries of the global community. The article explores approaches to defining the essence of intercultural competence and differentiates between the concepts of «competence» and «competency». The content of the subject «Art (National and World Art Culture)» is interpreted as a sphere for the formation of intercultural competence, and artistic works are seen as a means of perceiving and understanding the cultural heritage of nations. The article highlights the communicative, behavioral, cognitive, axiological, and reflexive criteria for the formation of ethno-cultural competencies and reveals their essential characteristics in the context of mastering the content of the subject «Art (National and World Art Culture)»
