MOTIVES OF STRUGGLE AND CONFRONTATION IN MODERN BELARUSIAN FANTASY

Abstract

The article analyzes the works of A. Dlatovskaya, K. Zakharevich, M. Latyshkevich, S. Minskevich, M. Shabanets, N. Yasminska, A. Zhvalevsky and E. Pasternak, addressed to children and adolescents. The motives of struggle and confrontation are of key plot-forming importance in these works, because of the opposition of good and evil forces. The identification of the implementation of these motives allows us to determine the principles of the characters’ juxtaposition, outline the features of the interaction of good and evil, reveal the humanistic potential of the fantasy genre and highlight other frequency motives in the works of this genre.
