Abstract

In the Concept of national security of the Republic of Belarus, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of
Belarus from 09.11.2010 № 575 (hereinafter — the Concept), the national security is defined as protection of national interests of the Republic of Belarus from internal and external threats. By virtue of the fact it is impossible to consider all components of national security; the essence of the most important of them is revealed in the Concept (military, economic, ecological security, etc.). Internal and external sources of threats to national security are defined in relation to national interests in these spheres. At the same time, the increasing interest of different illegal formations to the use of the latest scientific achievements actualizes the necessity of protection of national interests against threats of a biological origin.
