Abstract

Reformation processes in the present energy management system of the Republic of Belarus will bring significant changes to the
organization of economic activities of energy enterprises.

The article describes the main stages of the Belarusian energy system reform. Attention is drawn to the forthcoming economic,
technological and financial changes at various levels of energy management. The reform is supposed to lead to the occurrence of energy
and capacity market; and this will demand the introduction of risk management at energy enterprises. The author focuses his attention on the technological features of production, distribution and transmission of electricity and related risks. The author offers a model of electricity ratio production cycle and possible risks.

The author’s estimation of potential risk for every technological cycle of energy production is given; the system of indicators
to assess the risk of power grid enterprises is suggested.
