Abstract

The article discusses the quality of labor potential of the region’s population under conditions of unstable employment. Using the
methodology of assessing the quality of social efficiency and the ‘four dimensions’ approach, that was proposed by Gerry Rodgers, the
author analysed the interrelation between the parameters of unstable employment and the quality of the region’s labor potential on the
example of the Vologda region. The study employs the information of the monitoring of the Labor potential quality which was done by
the Institute of the Socio-Economic Development of Territories of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russia, Vologda). The analysis
leads to the conclusion that the main factors of unstable employment are workplace conditions and wages.
