Abstract

The article reveals a study of the regions of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the ABC-XYZ-analysis with the purpose to
determine the level of tourism development in the regions. The attendance of the region was the criterion for the ABC-analysis, and the
level of tourist expenses was the indicator for the XYZ-analysis.

The number of tourists was studied on the basis of the accumulated share using the method of analysis. The coefficient of
variation was calculated for the second evaluation criterion. The second part of the analysis was completed with calculation of two indicators: the intensity of development (the speed of growth of the selected evaluation criterion was analyzed) and the uniformity of development (the continuity of a trend was analyzed). Based on the results of the analysis, the classification of the regions of the country is proposed.
