Abstract

The phenomenon of volunteering is considered as a social innovation. The development of volunteering in the Republic of
Belarus, the Russian Federation, as well as the world’s experience in the development of volunteerism are being investigated. The
aspects of scientific interest for the study of volunteering are indicated.

The study was carried out with the financial support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research within the framework of
scientific project № 17-22-01022 “The phenomenon of a surge of volunteerism as a social innovation and a factor for modernization of
economic relations” which was fulfilled by an international research team.
