Abstract

The article examines the most important directions of the Catholic Church activities in Belarus in solving family problems in the light of the Roman Catholic Church doctrine. The most important provisions of the doctrine on family and marriage are characterized in the article; their brief retrospective analysis is given. It is noted that family as a Christian community has always been in the spotlight of the Church. The Roman Catholic Church has its own social doctrine, which outlines its position from the theological point of view on the role and importance of family, marriage and parenting. It is noted that the modern family, which lives through the crisis, requires attention not only from the state and society, but from the religious organizations. The Roman Catholic Church makes a lot of efforts for the spiritual support of the family, its preservation in the conditions of globalization, the formation in the people’s minds the spouses’ responsibility for the family and upbringing of children, for the preservation of unborn children’s lives.
