Abstract

The article deals with the formal correspondence which the priests made with the deans and consistory. The main groups of correspondence, that were found by the author in the parish institutions of the Roman Catholic church, have been singled out. The most frequent issues that were solved through correspondence have been analyzed. The most frequent issues that were mentioned in the correspondence include the functioning of the accounting system and registration of the population, construction and repair of buildings, violation of rules and norms by priests. The sources analyzed in the article reveal the microhistorical aspect of the functioning of the cult and are valuable material to study the parishes activities.
