Abstract

The article discusses methodology of the study of the problem of Slavs ancestral homeland localization in scientific works of the end of XX — early XXI century. The grounds and the information potential of the resources used in the pre-sent work have been determined. The methodological principles and methods research are characterized.

The article illustrates the main trends of the study and methodological approaches to solving this problem. The points of view scientists from that period on the Slavs ancestral homeland localization have been analyzed.
