Abstract

The issues of legal regulation of relations in connection with the artificial termination of pregnancy in the context
of ensuring demographic security are considered. Attention is drawn to the retrospective of these relationships.
Suggestions to improve the Belarusian legislation are made. In particular, it is proposed to take into account the overall
abortion rate as one of the indicators determining the demographic threat. Also, it was proposed to correlate threats to
demographic security with their indicators.
