Abstract

The problems of studying the history of the reformation in Poland in the assessment of Russian historiography of
the second half of the XIX — beginning of the XX century are considered. The main evaluation positions on this issue
and their differences in the Russian liberal and conservative tradition are shown. It was determined that this issue was not
a priority for the Russian research. Studies by Russian historians of the history of the reform movement in Poland dealt
primarily with the consequences of this phenomenon for Poland itself and the Russian Orthodox territories of Lithuania.
