Abstract

The activity of the Russian Red Cross Society in the Belarusian lands remains an ill-studied topic in modern
Belarusian historiography and thus needs a further thorough study. The author examines the activities of the Russian Red
Cross Society departments in Vilna, Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev provinces of the Russian Empire in the early
twentieth century. The article is based on the materials of Belarusian and Russian archives and libraries, some of them
being initially introduced into scientific circulation.
