GLASS WASTE MANAGEMENT AS AN ELEMENT OF RESOURCE-SAVING ACTIVITIES

Abstract

One of the most important directions in the development of the glass industry is to reduce the loss of material and fuel
and energy resources, as well as to expand the resource base and reduce the level of environmental pollution.

The article presents the prerequisites for introducing glass waste into secondary use. The introduction of glass waste in
the economic turnover should be considered as a solution to the priority tasks leading to resource conservation, an increase in the
reproduction of glass products and a decrease in the load on the environment. Recycling glass waste is proving to be
economically viable for the glass industry.

When conducting the research, the author relied on scientific publications on this topic, normative legal acts in the field
of resource conservation and general scientific research methods.
