Abstract

The article discusses the need for a comprehensive and systematic approach of state bodies to the formation and
implementation of information policy, which should be aimed at satisfying the interests of citizens, society and the state,
and it also focuses on the importance of developing information culture and its contribution to ensuring information sovereignty.
The article discusses in detail the main problems associated with the formation and implementation of these
areas, and offers recommendations for the development of the Concept of State Information Policy and the Concept for
the Development of the Information Culture of the Population in the Republic of Belarus.
