Abstract

The article sets the task of presenting the main evaluative approaches of Russian historical science of the second half of
the 19th — early 20th centuries on the history of Russia’s politics in Central Europe in the first third of the 19th century. In the
article, the main evaluative approaches of Russian historical science of the declared period of Russia’s politics of the first third of
the XIX century in Central Europe are considered on the example of the history of the creation and existence of the Duchy of
Warsaw and the Kingdom of Poland and related problems of foreign and domestic policy of France and Russia. The stated
problems did not become the subject of separate historiographical studies, and in this context is considered for the first time.
