Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the property case, which took place between the representatives of the
magnate counts Alexander and Jan Karol Hadkievič and the nobleman S. Swiaderski. The subject of the case is an agreement on
the transfer of the Paŭliukoŭščyna manor, which was a part of a large magnateʼs estate in Lachavičy county. Attention is paid to
the conditions under which Swiaderski kept the estate in pledge, as well as the circumstances of its transfer to the possession of
the nobleman. The article provides a detailed description of the Paŭliukoŭščyna estate and the villages that were part of it,
outlines its boundaries, and mentions local names. Based on documents from the funds of the Patotski Archive, new information
about the Hadkievič estates and their relations with the county nobility in the field of client-patronage relations introduced into
the scientific appeal.
