Abstract

The article analyzes the volume of formation of secondary material resources in the Republic of Belarus and suggests
the following ways to increase the use of solid municipal waste: extraction of secondary material resources for their
further processing; processing of the organic part of solid municipal waste for further use; the use of solid municipal
waste as fuel for energy (thermal or electric).

The use of these methods of processing municipal solid waste will provide enterprises processing secondary raw
materials with additional resources and reduce the technogenic load on the environment.

Conducting the research, the author relied on scientific publications on this issue, regulatory legal acts in the field
of resource conservation and general scientific research methods.
